New York City

Kim planned a surprise trip to spend a day being tourists in NYC.  It was a lot of fun, the weather was beautiful for the end of November, and we took a bunch of photos with Kim's camera.  (I really need to get myself a smaller one...)

We went to the top of the Empire State Building, and since we stood in line for about 2 hours, it was dusk when we got to the top.  It turned out to be perfect timing for some amazing photos.

Bright subject, washed-out sky...

...accurate sky, dark subject. Sometimes you just can't have the best of both worlds (without a tripod, anyway).

View from the top of the Empire State Building. This is underexposed by a fair amount.

This is just a tiny bit overexposed; it looked pretty much just like this.

This is a strange green monster atop the Empire State Building.
