Who are the saints?

The Catholic cult, er, church, teaches that saints are "good people" nominated by the Catholic church as "saints" after they die.  Unfortunately this is a lie, and unfortunately, most of the world thinks of the Catholic church when they think of Christianity.  Therefore most of the world has no idea what a saint really is.

Let's see what God has to say about saints:

Psalm 30: 4
Sing unto the LORD, O ye saints of his, and give thanks at the remembrance of his holiness.

Psalm 31: 23-24
O love the LORD, all ye his saints: for the LORD preserveth the faithful, and plentifully rewardeth the proud doer. Be of good courage, and he shall strengthen your heart, all ye that hope in the LORD.

Psalm 34: 8-10
O taste and see that the LORD is good: blessed is the man that trusteth in him. O fear the LORD, ye his saints: for there is no want to them that fear him. The young lions do lack, and suffer hunger: but they that seek the LORD shall not want any good thing.

Psalm 37: 27-28
Depart from evil, and do good; and dwell for evermore. For the LORD loveth judgment, and forsaketh not his saints; they are preserved for ever: but the seed of the wicked shall be cut off.

Psalm 85: 7-8
Shew us thy mercy, O LORD, and grant us thy salvation. I will hear what God the LORD will speak: for he will speak peace unto his people, and to his saints: but let them not turn again to folly.

Psalm 97: 10
Ye that love the LORD, hate evil: he preserveth the souls of his saints; he delivereth them out of the hand of the wicked.

Acts 9: 13
Then Ananias answered, Lord, I have heard by many of this man, how much evil he hath done to thy saints at Jerusalem:

Acts 9: 39-41
Then Peter arose and went with them. When he was come, they brought him into the upper chamber: and all the widows stood by him weeping, and shewing the coats and garments which Dorcas made, while she was with them. But Peter put them all forth, and kneeled down, and prayed; and turning him to the body said, Tabitha, arise. And she opened her eyes: and when she saw Peter, she sat up. And he gave her his hand, and lifted her up, and when he had called the saints and widows, presented her alive.

Acts 26: 9-10
I verily thought with myself, that I ought to do many things contrary to the name of Jesus of Nazareth. Which thing I also did in Jerusalem: and many of the saints did I shut up in prison, having received authority from the chief priests; and when they were put to death, I gave my voice against them.

Romans 1: 6-7
...Among whom are ye also the called of Jesus Christ: To all that be in Rome, beloved of God, called to be saints: Grace to you and peace from God our Father, and the Lord Jesus Christ.

According to God, his people on earth are saints!  If you have accepted Jesus as your savior, then you are one of his saints.  The saints aren't some elected group of people that man decides are better than everyone else.  Only a cult like the Catholic church, which bases salvation on works instead of faith, would propose such a ludicrous idea.
