Assateague Island, Maryland. Don't believe the hype.

This place is way overrated.  There are only 5 horses/ponies on the whole island. Or at least, that's all we saw, and they were all right around the parking lot where we started.  But the pretty white egret was a very nice bird.

This beach was beautiful and it seemed to stretch on forever.
