Kayaking the Lehigh River From Jim Thorpe To Lehighton

Check out this blog post to see all the details about this trip.

Our Shadow Dragon with the yaks loaded up at the take-out location. There's not usually water right here, but on this day there was, because of a large dam release. The river is actually a few dozen yards behind the Dragon; you can see just a sliver of it next to the driver-side mirror.

This is the put-in location in Jim Thorpe. This looks photoshopped, but it's totally not.

This is a video of us going around the bend and through Bear Trap rapids (class II), just below Jim Thorpe. At this high water level, though, the regular rapids were pretty well buried.

Video of us going under the railroad bridge after Bear Trap; there are class II rapids under it, but I don't know their name.

Kim and a cloud.

Our yaks at take-out time.
