Looks like some rough water spraying up there!  Isn’t Uncle Dan heading the wrong way?

This was actually a calm spot, but the camera did some weird stuff with the glare, causing those white wispy patterns, which were then further wispified by some effects I used in GIMP.

He’s holding the paddle backwards because he was practicing quick stops/turns, which you can do by jamming the paddle into the water backwards.
