Im here because I had exactly the same insect in my Pistachio yesterday, same web like stuff... just wondered what the heck it was..

Bizarre!  But I’m glad I’m not the only one.  And I still have no idea what this was.

Having shown it to some colleagues at work, we think its probably a cockroach .. and they are known to infest pistachio’s .

I got one too!  if anyone wonders what it is, it is a navel orangeworm larvae. I haven’t see it it’ll make anyone sick, but they r a major problem with crop yields. Totally gross!
