Caption

  • After taking all of the previous photos, I had breakfast, and then couldn't find the kitten.  I looked upstairs, then downstairs, then upstairs again, then downstairs again... finally I discovered him curled up and sleeping inside one of my footrests (which are actually speakerboxes for 6x9 car stereo speakers).

ohhh, this is too cute!  It surely is warm and cozy in there and he feels safe being close to his Dad and being soothed by the humming of the pc.

How did you do that enlarged inset? The gimp?

Yep, I used Gimp (that’s the only photo-editing tool I use).

I actually took 2 photos here: one close-up and one zoomed out.  Then in Gimp, I just made an oval selection on the close-up, hit Edit->Copy, then switched to the zoomed-out image and did Edit->Paste.  (Though I could just as well have made the oval selection from the same zoomed-out image and scaled it up before copy&pasting it on the top of the image.)

How adorable..... the kitten sure seems right at home!  Makes me want to take a nap!!  ;)
