Ann Coulter, the conservative columnist whose article was dropped from Monday’s USA Today posted the banned article on her own website. The article was supposed to be printed in time for the first day of the Democratic National Convention. Here is the link to the printer-friendly version for enjoyable, easy reading:
I really have mixed feelings about Ann Coulter. I think she’s often hilarious and I agree with much of what she says even if I think she words certain beliefs in the most polarizing way possible. I’ve come to think of her more of as a self-promoter than a leader in the Conservative movement.
She’s not gaining any converts from the left nor is she really educating anybody on the right. So I guess my question is: "What good is she?" Well, shes certainly hot and she’s usually good for some comedic relief but not much else.
Even in the rare event that her humor may convert someone on the left, it’s is probably more than offset by her Michael Moore-like tactics of shrillness. I used to love her and maybe I’m just getting older but I’m seeing her less as an asset and more as an embarrassment. (Oh yeah, and I actually didn’t think her axed USA Today article was all that great to be honest).
She is fanatical and annoying like Moooore, but at least her arguments aren’t based solely on lies. And yeah, she’s quite good with the comic relief sometimes. And I know everyone seems to think she’s hot, but I’m gonna have to disagree. She’s just... strange looking.
Well, I guess I wouldn’t consider her to have a Hollywood calibre hotness, but in the realm of politics everything on the hotter side of Brit Hume seems pretty attractive. So I guess when I say she’s hot I just mean she’s better looking than Alan Colmes.
