This has to be some kind of joke, right? Your software fails to work on all but 2 browsers on 2 operating systems? So... your software doesn’t work at all for Linux users, it only works for Mac users if you use a browser that’s 3 years old, and it only works for Windows users if you use the most insecure program ever written as your web-browser. Mozilla/Firefox is the most standards-compliant browser there is, it’s architecture is entirely open, and it runs on virtually every OS in existence; it can’t possibly be that hard to make Launchcast work with it...
So i wrote the exact same thing and got this back:
Unfortunately LAUNCHcast is not currently compatible with the OSX system
or the Mozilla, Firefox, Safari and Netscape 6-7 browsers. At this time
there is no estimated date as to when this service may be available
using these applications.
Like Yahoo must be retarded not to support those browsers. Moz will soon take over IE, and then they will be screwed.
Hey man, I’m sorry I even mentioned it. I use Yahoo Messenger and it comes with Launchcast built in. On top of that, I primarily use IE for the reasons that most webpages are design for that. I know it’s insecure. I know it’s supporting evil Microsoft. It’s just easier for me.
Same reason I don’t use Linux. It’s much easier just using software designed for Windows than spending time looking for ports of the same program for Linux. I don’t have time to be looking for stuff like that. I’m too busy posting things on your blog.
Hey, Anthony! You actually wrote: "it’s architecture is entirely open"
I thought you knew that "If it’s supposed to be possesive, it’s just "I-T-S" but if it’s supposed to be a contraction then it’s I-T-apostrophe-S... scalawag!"
But I’m in open rebellion against this particular aspect of the English language, because it’s so glaringly inconsistent. The architecture of me is "Anthony’s architecture" so the architecture of it should be "it’s architecture."
So... yeah, you got me, but it was intentional. And as the roaming gnome says, boo-honkity.
