Things to read

Bill Whittle is one of the best writers I’ve come across, and you should spend half an hour reading his essays on courage and war. They are highly informative, but more than that they are thought-provoking, and they are touching.

Lets join the army but only if you come i want you to witness what we’ve done i want you to make pride out of roasted flesh make glory out of broken bones and then i want you to take your army where the sun don’t shine because when i desert i’m taking my front line and we’re going to protect those without an army those without a name and you can take your medals to the pawn shop becuase the only metals we know is the mettle in the human spirit that struggles to survive in a spiritually polluted time.

John Paul, every day more Iraqi people get sick and/or die from malnutrition and disease because Saddam is dragging out this disarmament process. They can’t get proper medical treatment, enough food, or clean water, because of sanctions against Iraq, because Saddam has disregarded UN resolutions for years and years.  They are trying to live with the effects of the chemical weapons that Saddam has used on them.

The mindless anti-war stance of people like you is killing Iraqi people every day.  People are dying because of your attitude, because you won’t look at the facts, because you won’t learn from history.

Every day that we sit here, not going to war, "giving the peace process more time," is a day that more people die needlessly.  Your "solution" is killing many more innocent people than a war will.  And aside from saving lives, a war will actually END the problem, whereas your "solution" keeps Saddam in power and keeps his people dying indefinitely.
