New Photos and Websites and Stuff!

I created a new website for my brother Brian and his family at disantes.com.  Go say hi!

I also have a few new photos of Cailin and Erin which are very cute.

In other news, we had our official family vote for president today at Nick’s birthday dinner.  The results were: 1 undecided, 14 votes for W, and 2 votes for Flipper.  Judging by the polls for the past few weeks and months, Tuesday’s election will be considerably closer than this.

Actually, there were 2 undecideds.  I’m sure everyone figured out who they were.

uh-oh, see, even the DiSantes can’t get an ’unofficial’ vote count right :~}.  Well, that’s no excuse not to vote.  And a very big ’attaboy’ to Anthony for putting 6 extra hours of time and milage on his car this week just to get home to his voting district to cast his vote!

Hm, I guess I didn’t hear the final tally then, because I definitely heard Maria say "1 undecided" at one point.

Ah hah...just like the media, jumping to conclusions before the final tally:)  Anyway, the 2 undecideds voted Bush this morning.  We decided he was the better choice of the 2, but if there were more choices, I can’t say we would have voted the same.

Yeah Rolly and Margie!!!!  I am SO glad that you voted for Bush!  I hope that other undecideds voted the same way.  I am going to be glued to Fox News tonight watching the outcome of the election.

Yay, Rolly & Margie :)  I think that there are a lot of people who feel same way that you guys do.  But, given the choices you had, I (obviously) think that you made the right one.  I am curious...  I was in the city for most of the day today - Fox Chase, Juniata, & Germantown. It seemed like all of the polling places (except one that I noticed) were all slanted toward Kerry/Edwards by the huge amounts of signs, people wearing tee shirts, etc.  It would seem to be a very uncomfortable situation to be in if you weren’t voting that way.  Did you guys experience that at your poll?

I too think you made the right choice, but I also know it sucks to vote for someone you don’t feel 100% confident in.  So... congrats and condolences.  I know I support Bush’s views and policies a lot more than you, but still he isn’t perfect; but he’s much better (IMHO) than the only electable alternative.

I knew you all would be so happy.  Tasha, it seems the cities in general are usually slanted more towards the left.  I think we were the only ones on our block who voted for Bush, judging by people’s signs and stuff.  We were not hassled or anything at the polls to vote one way or the other, but Kerry support was definately most prevalent.  I’d say for every Bush sign, I saw at least 10 Kerry signs in the city throughout the campaign season.  As you now know, Kerry got PA’s electoral votes, and Philly is the main reason for it.
