Besides wanting to get that nasty looking creature off this opening page, I needed to reach out to all my kids because it’s that time of year when I start planning the holiday birthday dinners. Nick’s Halloween Birthday is merely weeks away. It almost takes Divine intervention to get all 12 of you (kids, spouses, grandkids) together in one place at the same time as everyone can see by the 17 replies to Tasha’s ’dinner’ post a couple of weeks ago. So, can you come for dinner on Saturday, Oct. 30th to celebrate Nick’s 22nd around 5:00ish? Second choice would be Sunday the 31st. (his actual birthday) but that would have to be earlier so all the little ghosts and goblins can do their thing. Say maybe around 3:00. Let me know!
lvuall,
um, guess I should have cleared this with Mr. Nick 1st but it seems to be working out; he also has plans to attend a ghostly party on Saturday so the dinner has to be on Sunday (or the next weekend).
Well, it’s a go for Sunday, then :~} Of course 1:00 is ok; anytime is ok actually. I guess if it’s a really close, exciting game then we can’t sit down for dinner until 4:00ish, right? Maybe Nick will come up with something different he’d like to have for dinner, like foods that everyone can just graze on all afternoon! Anxious to see everyone.
lvu,
Wish I was there! Could we have Anthony’s and Tasha’s dinner when I get there in December? I can bring dessert.
You could make Laura’s crockpot beef pull-apart, for one. Hot & spicy & yumm :) with crispy French bread and lots of her great salad....
My granddaughter Sarah just had her October 8th 18th BIRTHDAY. Yikes! She exclaimed, she’s excited about being able to do "adult things now." Mainly...go to a concert, dance club, buy a lottery ticket (ut oh, I AM getting old!!) She’s dual enrolled, taking some college classes Saturdays, and not enjoying the senior stress! Graduation is in May. Plan to come on down!
Love to all ~ Aunt Sonya
Holy cow, I can’t believe Sarah is 18!! It seems like just the last time I saw her she was barely in the double-digits of age... oh wait, that WAS the last time I saw her. Why is FL so far away?
