My LCD monitor has a red, dead pixel also. It acts really weird. Sometimes i dont even see it, like it goes away, and the pixel works, and then other times its bright red. I have a BenQ FP767-12. Have had it for about 8 months.

Hmm.  Wish I could help you there, but neither I nor my website has any idea about this problem.  I’ve got a Hyundai ImageQuest Q17 LCD, and I’ve only ever been able to find 1 dead (stuck on white) pixel.  The monitor’s native resolution is 1280x1024, and at a distance of 2.5 feet from the screen, I have to struggle to even pick it out on an all-black background.
