Idiot... (Not you, him)

Great, this is just great. More and more the fear of war is creeping up on me.  First, the antherax, then the trade center.  After that, the search for Bin Laden and the ever present fear of Iraq.  Then, North Korea decided to jump into the fray.  I am wondering if God had me join the military for a soon-to-be well known purpose. 

I honestly have no real idea on why I joined.  Heck, I’m not even out of high school, yet.  Why do I need to worry about it? I mainly say it was for the college money, and in my head it is.  But, when the recruiter called my home, I happened to be the one that picked up the phone and for some reason (all I remember was that I was really tired) I agreed to meet him.  I was the last person people would think to join up.  I’m an idiot, I guess.  Truthfully, I don’t even know why I wrote this long rant.  All I can say is that we need to pray for the people and the nations that this involves.  And that would be everybody. 

(Oh, and don’t be so cocky about our power over them.  I honestly think America is getting ready for "the great nation will fall"

Referring to it as "pushing democracy" is like saying "forcing them to breathe". "Pushing democracy" is just giving the Iraqi people (not Saddam, and not his "government") the right to choose their own elected officials.  No one except the Iraqi government "likes they way they live."  The normal people are oppressed.  Saddam has a history of murdering entire villages of his people, and even executing his own government officers.  He rules by fear, so of course you don’t see them revolting and protesting.

Regardless, the bigger picture is not Iraq, it’s the rest of the world and the fact that Saddam is a threat to the entire planet.  Anyone who’s been alive for more than 5 minutes knows that he cannot be trusted, he repeatedly lies to the UN and the world, and he has not stopped seeking arms nor destroyed those arms he already has.

Um, no.  Saddam and Hitler are "bad" because they are mass murderers, and because they have no regard for anyone but themselves.  "Pushing democracy" -- i.e. "forcing" people to be allowed to control their own government -- is certainly not "bad" and it’s far from comparable to Saddam or Hitler.

Like the way they live....you have to be kidding me!!! They live with the constant threat of being killed if they speak in opposition of the current regime, who enjoys living that way?  Do you remember the Gulf War at all?  Do you remember what they showed on CNN?  They showed how Iraqi forces would seek out the American troops to surrender b/c Saddam was starving his own soldier, the people giving their lives for him.  I remember all that very vividly.  The people of Iraq live in poverty b/c Saddam will not yield so that the sactions against Iraq can be lifted and now he is bringing war on his country by not turning over his weapons of mass destruction.  His people have no choice here b/c he is supreme dictator.  You really believe they like living with no choice.  Tell me how you would like it if you lived in a place where you had aboslutely no voice.  I am furious that you could post such rubbish!!
