New Apple Ads

Apple introduced some new TV commercials on Monday and I think they’re pretty funny.  You can watch them on the Apple website.

It’s kind of annoying how they present it as "The Mac vs. The PC" when it’s really about Mac vs. Windows.  I run a PC, yet none of the PC-based problems mentioned in the ads affect me at all, because my PC runs Linux, not Windows.

But other than that, the ads are good -- they’re funny and they’re pretty much completely accurate.

funny that they’re making these ads putting down an OS that they just officially supported to dual boot on their computers... though i suppose the general public probably doesn’t see it like you and i know it to be (it’s the os, not the machine)

friend of mine just got a whole new pc, he’s running os x on it =)

I actually saw one of the ads multiple times on TV last night. The one with the 45 year old and the mid-20 year old, talking about the ’cool apps’ the 45 year old has on his PC: calculator and clock. "Sounds like hours of fun." Clever...
I’m actually glad to see Apple going after more business and further cut into the Windows/PC market, no matter how much Anthony dislikes Apple ;)
Apple’s hardware really is quite good, and the fact that you can run pretty much any OS on it nowadays seems good to me. My next computer will probably be an Apple portable, whether its the MacBook Pro or another yet-unreleased model remains to be seen.
As you might have noticed, if it’s Anti-Microsoft, I can’t help but like it. ;)

It’s sorta funny, but on the other hand, the timing actually makes pretty good sense.

Apple: Windows sucks!  Buy a Mac! PC User: But I need Windows to play my computer games! Apple: Buy a Mac anyway!  You can run Windows on it now! PC User: Your mom!
