LOLCODE and CatCam

You probably have to be part programmer and part internet-speak-geek to really get LOLCODE, but it’s hilarious.  Examples:

FILEZORZ:

HAI
CAN HAS STDIO?
PLZ OPEN FILE "LOLCATS.TXT"?
	AWSUM THX
		VISIBLE FILE
	O NOES
		INVISIBLE "ERROR!"
KTHXBYE

LITTLENUMBER:

HAI
CAN HAS STDIO?
I HAS A VAR
GIMMEH VAR
IZ VAR BIGGER THAN 10?
	O RLY
		BTW this is true
		VISIBLE "BIG NUMBER!"
	NOWAI
		BTW this is false
		VISIBLE "LITTLE NUMBER!"
	KTHX
KTHXBYE

CatCam is something I think everyone can appreciate.  Some guy put a small digital camera on his cat’s collar and set it to take photos every few minutes automatically, and then let the cat wander around outside as usual, to find out what his cat does during the day.  He then posted the photos online.  The cat goes and hangs out with other cats, finds a snake, goes into the neighbor’s garage, etc.  The best part is the captions.  "Friend or enemy?"  "Secret cat den?"  Check out the photo pages: one, two, three, four.

Hehe, fun links. I have often wondered what my two cats do all day also. Being indoor cats, I’m sure their typical day is less exciting than the one featured on the Cat Cam.

On another note, have you tried Safari for Windows? If so, what do you think? I remember a while back that you bought a Mac mini in order to test your web apps on Safari...

No, I haven’t tried Safari for Windows yet.  With all the news about how it was exploited 6 different ways within hours of its release, and how it’s extremely buggy and crash-prone, I’m going to wait for the non-beta.

I’m sure I’ll eventually add it to my testing regimen, but for now, Safari on OS X will have to do.

Safari for Windows was updated to 3.0.1 to hopefully fix those bugs.
Bug report for this site while using Safari 3.0.0 or 3.0.1 on Windows: when trying to enter my name, it gets reset to "What’s your name?" and then shows the error message: "Invalid username: ’What’s your name?’"

Thanks for letting me know.  It works fine in Safari/Mac so I’ve submitted the bug to Apple for Safari/Win.
