Lost

I can’t say that it all made sense.  And to say that there are some loose ends would be an understatement.  But I thoroughly enjoyed Lost, and I will miss it.

Honestly, I’m just glad that Jack finally got the girl, even if she did leave him on the island.

And evidently there will be more answers forthcoming in a DVD bonus feature; that’s a ridiculous way to do things, but at this point I’ll take any additional answers I can get.

I wish I could agree.  I kinda feel like I’ve wasted 6 years of my life on this show.  The first couple of seasons are great but if they had no idea what was going on with the island, then they should have stopped throwing more nonsense into the mythology.  Not saying I didn’t enjoy the ride, but unless I missed something this is the most disappointing finale for me since The Sopranos.  I just kept waiting for that moment where they revealed that one secret that would make everything make sense, but it never came.  Hopefully 24 will deliver tonight.

I hear you, and I’m definitely a little frustrated with the lack of explanation.  But to me, if I enjoyed the ride along the way (and I definitely did), then then show wasn’t a waste.

I think Lost was a great show, and I contrast it with something like Heroes, where the big picture got lost / never came together / there never was one, AND it just wasn’t enjoyable to watch (other than the first season or so).  With Lost, I enjoyed it to the very end, even though I do wish there had been a clearer / more consistent / more thorough big picture.

Check out the end of this clip for a possible alternate ending to Lost.
