Sparseness

I haven’t posted much this week because I’ve been ridiculously busy with projects for school.  I spent virtually all of Monday - Thursday on just one project (that I started a week earlier), right up until 11:50pm Thursday when I submitted it via email.  Then I spent 10 more hours on it, from midnight till 10am, trying to figure out why it didn’t work as fast as it should.  It’s a program that implements a modified binary search tree, and supposedly it can be made to populate over 100 million nodes in 15 minutes.  For the longest time I was stuck and couldn’t figure out how to make it any faster than a few days, but between midnight and 10 am, I finally got it down to 88 minutes, with 566 lines of code.  I’m dying to see the 15-minute version.

Anyway I went to an awesome show last Sunday with my man Mark, and have a big post welling up inside me about it, but I’ve got too much stuff to do right now.  Hopefully it will make its way onto here soon.

Well, I’m glad that’s over and the regular postings can resume.  You know Rolly & I check the site 15 times a day for new stuff...  I hope you get a good grade on your work!!  I was at Mom’s today and she said that we have to share our birthday dinners on Dec. 21st, if that’s a good day for everyone. Also, we all need to have some kind of idea about what to get each other for our pollyannas...  Suggestions??
Come home soon!!  xoxo Tasha

If we’re sharing birthday dinners, do we get two main courses or do we have to agree on one?  My vote is for prime rib, of course.  I just emailed everyone about the pollyannas yesterday morning... did you get the mail?

I hope you all realize that the 10 year old that was included in this pollyanna has a total of $15.32 to her name.  And her job prospects don’t look too good either right now....just in case you were wondering :-)

oh, and sorry Anthony, that your sister had to break the ’sharing’ news with you before I had a chance to tell you.  Now that I’m a ’working mom’ I’m having a hard time getting all my messaging done on time and in order :-(

Hi there Anthony.  I’ll check with Brian and let you know what ideas he has for his gift.  I’ll have to come up with a few suggestions for myself too.
Maria doesn’t have to spend $25.00!!!!!....oh boy, we just wanted her to feel included....she doesn’t have to use the money in her piggy bank!!!
Hey, what do you want for your birthday??
Tasha, if you are reading this, what do you want for your birthday???
We need a few suggestions.
Love you,
Heidi.
ps.  Cailin is 11 months old today!
Time is flying by!

.....was just joking about Maria’s financial status.  She’s really enjoying being part of the ’grownup kids tradition’ of gift giving.  We are having fun thinking up ideas; some being soooo funny!  lvu u all.

Anthony, prime rib was my pick, too...
Heidi, I just want a card for my birthday...
Everyone, please post your wishlists soon...
XOXO  Tasha
ps - give Cailin an 11 month birthday kiss from us!!  AND, where is Rolly? Does anyone know??

Hi again everyone. I was wondering...can Cailin share in the birthday party on Dec 21st???  She is going to be ONE on Jan 2nd!!!!  Anyway, since we are all going to be together... can we celebrate for her too???
I am not sure where Rolly is.... He usually goes snowboarding the week after Thanksgiving, but I am not sure if he went this year or not.
Love, Heidi.

Cailin can share with us, but she has to share Anthony’s portion of the prime rib.  I can’t believe that she is going to be 1! She was just born...
But, I think that about Sam, too, and she’ll be 10 this year.

I don’t mind Cailin sharing the festivities, but she ain’t getting none of my prime rib.  I want to be a good uncle and all, but let’s not get crazy and start giving away prime rib over it.  ... Fine.  I’ll thumb-wrestle her for it.  Truth be told, if it were any other <1 year old I wouldn’t mind, but I know her daddy, and I wouldn’t be surprised if she finished my whole share and asked for seconds.

About those wish lists... I’ll be mailing mine soon, really.  Like tomorrow.  Ish.

I was out of the office for a software training last week.  I wish I was snowboarding though.  I do have a cell phone...
