Submerge

I just wanted to say I’m glad there is someone else out their who thinks Submerge was great.  I’ve been trying for years to follow up on those guys, but have had no luck.

I know, it’s so frustrating.  "East, Meet West" is such a phenomenal album.  It’s unbelievable that the band who created it (and the album itself) just disappeared without a trace.

I did some searching on the two Submerge CDs (11 songs of struggle and insight, east, meet west) to find album art for my CD scans into iTunes (I don’t have a scanner). This was a great band, and east, meet west should have gotten much more exposure than it did.

I actually got to meet Bailey back in the day  (circa 2000), as he was managed by a girl who waited tables part-time in a bar I used to frequent in Camp Hill, PA (howdy Laurel!). I  saw them play once at Shippensburg Univ. with about 10 people in attendance. They were amazing.

Bailey (the main man behind submerge) is now in a band called eons. They have a myspace page.

Someone should get the submerge CDs out on emusic or somewhere where folks can still get at them.
